Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, record vital signs, and document medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean environment.
- Manage patient records, handle insurance verifications, and schedule appointments.
- Administer injections, perform basic lab tests, and assist with minor surgical procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
