Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and intake/output.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (State of TN or NC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedules (Friday through Sunday, alternating weekends).
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and comfort.
