Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight monitoring.
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and examination rooms for cleanliness and safety.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling appointments, and answering incoming calls.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (EHR).
