Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient examinations and accurately measure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration).
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and maintain a clean, organized exam room environment.
- Manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of their care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent experience required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) must be current.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
