Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and administer injections as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health logs.
- Provide patient education on medication, diet, and post-procedure care.
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments and answering incoming calls.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA (NCCT) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
