As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our clinic, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight, height) and medical history reviews.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers and explaining procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient records, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and handle patient inquiries via phone or in-person.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment.
- Assist with minor clinical procedures and point-of-care testing.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice or urgent care setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in using EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient privacy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
