Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems
- Prepare and administer medications as directed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic workflows
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Valid Texas MA certification
