Responsibilities
- Clinical Duties: Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers during procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient intake, update medical records in the EHR system, and handle insurance verification.
- Phlebotomy & Labs: Draw blood and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries and provide clear instructions regarding treatment plans.
- Coordination: Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, or MA required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy and confidentiality.
