Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Health: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure patient stability and safety.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) reflecting patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, demonstrating critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in EMR/EHR systems, and proficiency in venipuncture and catheterization.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Professionalism: Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
