Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols and hospital standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapies, documenting all findings accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and optimal health outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education to promote understanding of diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to resolve patient care issues.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
