Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital sign measurements with precision and empathy.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict hygiene protocols.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and processing insurance claims.
- Provide patient education on medications and post-procedure care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or AthenaHealth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
