Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history collection accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians.
- Process and maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation in the EHR system.
- Coordinate lab specimens and test results with the diagnostic department.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
