Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain patient confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Pennsylvania state medical assistant certification preferred
