Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and maintain patient confidentiality
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care efficiently
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification and California MA license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build patient rapport
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
