Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their demographic and insurance information.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with medical history and vitals.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications and procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
