Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs and EKGs
- Administer medications and injections per protocol
- Prepare patients for examinations and collect specimens
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Indiana state CPR certification required
- Background check and drug screening required
