Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and medical procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and medical supplies.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed personnel.
- Manage patient charts, update electronic health records, and process insurance claims accurately.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and treatment plans.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
