Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient intake and preliminary assessments via telehealth platform
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient care plans with physicians and specialist referrals
- Administer virtual medication reconciliation and patient education
- Process lab orders and results through integrated digital systems
- Support chronic disease management programs remotely
- Assist in quality improvement initiatives for telehealth services
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory or telehealth setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field
