Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, measurements, and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with clinical procedures and examinations.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient charts.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and check patients in/out efficiently to ensure smooth clinic flow.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by authorized providers.
- Handle billing and insurance verification tasks under supervision.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Must be professional, empathetic, and possess a strong work ethic.
