Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and update medical records accurately in our EHR system.
- Clinical Duties: Assist providers with examinations, perform vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Lab & Phlebotomy: Collect blood and other specimens, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality control protocols.
- Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, send reminders, and manage prescription refills.
- Medication Management: Verify physician orders, prepare medications, and administer injections as directed.
- Communication: Educate patients on treatment plans and answer questions regarding their health and medications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and a clean, sanitized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current Washington State Nursing Assistant license (if applicable) or valid driver's license.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
