Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their information upon arrival to the clinic.
- Perform routine patient assessments, including taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight).
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical tasks.
- Prepare and administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage patient records electronically, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and insurance providers.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid FL Driver's License and reliable transportation.
