Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic diagnostic testing as directed by the provider.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Greet patients, schedule appointments, and maintain a clean, welcoming reception area.
- Administer medications and injections under strict supervision.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure continuity of patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a busy medical office.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Valid US Work Authorization.
