Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and collect patient specimens for lab testing
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
