Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately administer medications and immunizations per protocols
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory testing
- Maintain organized patient medical records using EHR systems
- Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate care with specialists
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and exam room equipment
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture and basic laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Arizona state certification or eligibility
- Exceptional communication and patient service skills
