Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history assessments accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and preventative care.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to obtain a Colorado Medical Assistant license if not currently held.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients of all backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
