Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival, collecting necessary demographic and insurance information.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations, including preparing instruments and maintaining sterility.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by licensed providers.
- Prepare and assist with minor office procedures and laboratory tests.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and schedule appointments within the practice.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
