Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and prepare medical histories with accuracy and empathy.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Manage patient records, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and charting accurately.
- Administer injections and assist with phlebotomy when qualified.
- Communicate effectively with patients, answer inquiries, and facilitate smooth clinic operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA, RMA, or AMT certification (or eligible to obtain).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
