Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and perform basic laboratory tests
- Administer injections and medications as directed by providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Inventory medical supplies and assist with sterilization processes
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Kentucky state license (if required)
