Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Take patient vital signs, medical histories, and prepare lab specimens
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic diagnostic tests
- Manage patient records using EHR systems and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and BLS certification
- 1+ years of clinical experience in medical setting preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
