Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Prepare and administer medications and immunizations under physician supervision
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab procedures
- Manage patient medical records and maintain electronic health systems
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Valid state medical assistant license
