Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic phlebotomy and administer medications as directed.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and lab results.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized environment in accordance with health protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
