Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation and HIPAA compliance
- Sterilize equipment and prepare exam rooms for patient care
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification required
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills
- 1+ years clinical experience in hospital/urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced emergency medicine environment
- Texas state MA license or eligibility
