As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel welcomed and cared for while assisting our physicians in delivering top-tier medical services. We value professionalism, efficiency, and a warm bedside manner.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Reception: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and maintain a professional reception area.
- Vital Signs & Measurements: Accurately record patient medical histories, blood pressures, temperatures, and other vital signs.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, send reminders, and manage patient follow-ups efficiently.
- Medication & Injections: Administer medications and injections as directed by providers and document all treatments in the EHR.
- Lab Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens (blood, urine, etc.) following strict safety protocols.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and medical charts.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Certification as a CMA, RMA, or similar is preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar) and medical terminology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
