Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history collection accurately.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a provider.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage the front desk workflow efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
