Responsibilities
- Perform routine medical procedures and assist physicians during examinations.
- Measure vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and accurately record patient data.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist in minor surgical procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle front-desk administrative duties.
- Provide patient education and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with the nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Must be willing to travel or work shifts based on hospital needs in DC or GA.
