Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake and vitals monitoring to ensure comprehensive health records.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage medical inventory efficiently.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy) as directed by licensed providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide emotional support.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up care to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and EKG procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills with experience in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
