Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide basic patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- ADL Assistance: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and visitors, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active CNA license in the state of Florida required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Integrity: Adherence to professional standards, ethical codes, and HIPAA regulations.
