Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital signs measurements accurately and efficiently.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure comfort and privacy.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR) systems, and maintain confidentiality.
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and ensure proper handling according to protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
