Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors to reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Monitor client health and report any changes, accidents, or medical concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social outings, or community events.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the care plan and licensed nurse.
- Document daily care logs and update client records accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record with reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in home health, hospice, or caregiving is a plus but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
