Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and accompany clients on outings to promote mental well-being.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals according to specific dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and ensure clients adhere to their prescribed schedules.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and vacuuming to maintain a safe living environment.
- Mobility Support: Help clients with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids safely.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with the client, family members, and the care team regarding client progress and concerns.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, nursing assistance, or a related field is a plus but not always required for the right candidate.
- Licensure: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.
- Attributes: Must demonstrate patience, compassion, reliability, and a positive attitude.
