Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, verify insurance, and prepare them for examinations by taking accurate medical histories and vital signs.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a sterile environment.
- Procedural Skills: Perform basic clinical duties including venipuncture, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Administrative Duties: Handle front desk operations, schedule appointments, and verify patient information.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on medications, post-care instructions, and preventative health measures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification required.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred but willing to train driven candidates.
- Technical: Proficiency with EHR software and medical office technology.
- Compliance: Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols strictly.
