Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Take patient vitals (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and record them accurately.
- Assist providers during patient exams and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy when necessary.
- Greet patients, verify insurance, and manage check-in/check-out processes.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
