Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history assessments with accuracy.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) efficiently and ensure data integrity.
- Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification (RMA/NCMA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
