Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify their personal and medical information to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with draping and positioning.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis, and prepare specimens.
- Administer injections or medications under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Manage and update patient medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR software is a plus.
