Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and medical procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Draw blood samples for lab work and manage phlebotomy duties.
- Update and maintain accurate patient medical records and charts using EHR systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans, instructions, and test results.
- Coordinate laboratory services and follow up on test results.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient privacy and safety (HIPAA compliance).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
