Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history taking, physical examinations, and symptom analysis.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or adverse reactions immediately.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered RN License issued by the State of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (EMR).
- Compassionate attitude and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
