Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with undressing or covering.
- Record patient medical history, symptoms, and other relevant information.
- Measure vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer medications, injections, or therapeutic treatments as directed by physicians.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
- Explain treatment procedures, diets, or medications to patients.
- Perform basic office tasks, such as scheduling appointments and updating medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
