Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility limitations using walkers, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts safely.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary patient environment.
- Document patient care plans, daily activities, and any changes in condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and support patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check.
