Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
