Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, medical history reviews, and vital signs monitoring.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and minor office procedures.
- Draw blood and perform basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and laboratory services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with a positive attitude.
